Concert of Russian Orthodox choral music

The sound characteristic of the Orthodox liturgy fascinates both those who belong to it and the entire West. The Chamber Choir Ivan Filipović will give you a look at that tradition. For years, she has given at least a little space to this fascination in her program, but this time she takes over the entire concert, which will be like a journey through Russia.

It is not only about the rich liturgy, which is the source of numerous gems of compositions that shine like the interior of orthodox churches. It is also about migrations of Russian composers who are exposed to other influences, it is also about others who are imprisoned by their fascination. Nevertheless, the whole whirlwind of diversity of composers that you will hear finds its source in the orthodox and in a way always provides an offshoot of the germ from which the fascination started.

We have placed this story for you in the framework of a concert that will take you far from Zagreb, to places created by a different tradition and customs that you will capture with sound.
